I tried to send the patch to you directly, I'm going to try again as I've just received a new email from you lol. any ideas regarding that would be appreciated. I do understand your hesitancy with that idea, but I'm unaware of any other way I can "host" this file for people to download. A lot of us will use the torrent system to distribute and share perfectly legal things as well, and since LAME is freeware, I used it for this patch. torrent files are not strictly for pirated songs, movies, and software. You can use just one or two, or the whole list (from 32kbps to 320kbps stereo 44.1khz 16-bit). This patch adds entries to the export menu, labelled by bitrate and you can have more than one. By that I mean: with their existing configuration utility, you can hook up any encoder you want, but (please correct me if I'm wrong) only at one set bitrate. I don't think it would be right to directly offer a patch that makes their encoder obsolete. well the reason I don't provide a direct link to it is exactly the reason you are describing. People would respect you more as some of them are a little peeved you’d charge extra for unlocking an MP3 Encoder, of all things. Google “Aaron’s Sonar MP3 encoder patch v2″ and you will find it, or PM me and I can hook you up. Put Simply, I added multiple selection abilities to the “Export Audio” menu, using registry entries and LAME mp3 encoder, without actually touching or affecting any part of Sonar’s software.
Especially when you don’t have much money and there is something free and totally legal to use in its place.

For you Sonar 6, 7 and 8 fans, I’ve actually built a patch that lets you use the LAME mp3 encoder to select ANY bitrate, directly out of Sonar’s “Export Audio” menu… and you can do it IN 64-bit with the 64-bit version of my patch.
